Busselton to Flinders Bay Rail Trail Development Plan

Amendments and revisions to the draft Trail Development Plan have been made, in accordance with feedback received from the Steering Committee (comprising representatives of the Shire of Augusta Margaret River, the City of Busselton and the National Trust). The Steering Committee is currently reviewing the latest draft prior to publishing a summary of the Trail Development Plan, the Interpretation Plan and the various environmental reports that have been prepared over the last 12 months.

Yaburara Heritage Trail – Shire of Roebourne

Transplan’s recently prepared trail upgrading plan for the Yaburara Heritage Trail in Karratha (one of nearly 170 heritage trails developed in 1988 for Australia’s bicentenary) has been presented to the Steering Committee in Karratha. The Steering Committee enthusisatically supported the plan and endorsed its recommendations.

Shire of Roebourne Trails Master Plan

Transplan Pty Ltd has been contracted by the National Trust of Australia (WA) to jointly prepare a Trails Master Plan for the Shire of Roebourne. The plan will encompass trails for walkers, mountain bikers and horse riders as well as consideriation of the need for a drive trail through the region. An audit of existing trails will be undertaken and a ‘gap’ analysis will reveal what new trails could/should be developed to service the needs of local people as well as visitors to the region. Consultation with the local community, clubs and Aboriginal organisations is a fundamental component of the project.
