The Shire of Donnybrook-Balingup Trails Master Plan is currently being prepared by Transplan Pty Ltd. As part of the plan, residents and trail users of the Shire are asked to complete a questionnaire survey about their experience with trails in the Shire. The survey also asks residents to suggest potential new trails in the Shire. The survey is available on line (via a link on the Shire’s home page or via a link on Transplan’s home page). Survey period closes Friday 22 April 2011. The brief requires information about non-motorised trails (cycling, walking, horse riding) and does not include motorised modes (such as 4WD and trail bikes).

Friday, March 4th, 2011Transplan Pty Ltd has been appointed by the Shire of Donnybrook-Balingup to prepare a trails master plan for non-motorised trail users (ie. walkers, horse riders and mountain bikers). The plan will assess all existing trails for needed improvements and enhancements as well as suggesting potential new trails for use by local people and visitors. Community and stakeholder consultation will be an imporant component of the project. A questionnaire survey of trail users will be distributed during March and April.
