Gympie Tracks and Trails Plan

Transplan Pty Ltd is joining with Mike Halliburton Associates (trail planners) and ROSS Planning Pty Ltd (recreation, open space and sports specialists) to prepare a Tracks and Trails Plan for the Gympie Regional Counbcil in Queensland.

The purpose of the plan is to identify cost-effective opportunities to reinforce the existing tracks and trails networks; and to establish new tracks and trails in the Gympie Region, including opportunities to complement those in surrounding regions.

Shire of Beverley Trails Master Plan

Transplan Pty Ltd has been appointed by the Shire of Beverley to prepare the new Trails Master Plan for the Shire. Four key areas have been identified by the Shire representatives: an in-town heritage trail; trail circuits along the Avon River (which runs through the town); trails at Avondale Farm ( which is located a few kilometres out of town); and a trail connection between the town of Beverley and Avondale Farm.

Busselton to Flinders Bay Rail Trail – community meetings

The rail trail Master Plan is available for community review. Copies of the summary report and submission forms can be downloaded from the Shire of Augusta Margaret River’s website or collected from Shire Customer Service Centres and Shire Libraries in both Margaret River and Augusta. Submissions should be received by 5pm on Wednesday 21 August and sent to Shire of Augusta Margaret River: PO Box 61, Margaret River 6285, or infrastructurereception@amrshire.wa.gov.au.
Public information sessions about the proposed rail-trail will be conducted at the following locations:

Augusta Shire offices – 2pm to 5pm on Monday 5 August; and
Margaret River Shire Offices (Council Chambers) – 2pm to 5pm on Wednesday 7 August.

The City of Busselton also has the reports available for downloading.  Provide your submissions in writing to the City of Busselton by Wednesday, 21 August 2013. Submissions may be delivered by:

  • post to the City of Busselton, Locked Bag 1, Busselton WA 6280;
  • email to city@busselton.wa.gov.au;
  • facsimile to (08) 9752-4958; or
  • hand to the City Offices at 2 Southern Drive, Busselton. Please provide contact details on all submissions.
